- Miranda Lambert and Anderson East produced your new album ’Single Wide Dreamer’ – what was it like to work with them?
It was a real treat. They are both so talented.
- What can you tell us about your debut album ’Single Wide Dreamer’?
It’s a project I started with no intention other than to finish it someday. That day is almost here and I’m thankful and excited. This will be a nice creative relief.
- You have written songs for some incredible artists, including “Miranda Lambert” “Maren Morris” Anderson East,”Brent Cobb” to name a few, did you write those songs specifically for those artists or did you have the songs written any way, can you tell us a little bit more about the process?
Almost every song I’ve written for someone else I also wrote with that person. I hardly ever go into a room with a plan other than to get whatever is there, on paper. All of those people are fantastic writers so I was more lucky to be there with them than anything.
- Who are some of your favourite songwriters?
Hayes Carll, Brent Cobb, Jon Decious, Mac Leaphart.
- Is there anyone you would love to collaborate with?
BECK, Three 6 Mafia, Lil Wayne, Too Short.
- Do you have any touring plans? Any plans to perform here in the UK?
Yes and yes! I’ve never been to Europe and I’m damn near 40 so it’s probably time.
- What music are you currently streaming?
I have Pneuma by Tool on repeat.
