Following the warm global response and spiritual resonance of ‘My Island’, American-born, Byron Bay-based singer-songwriter Eddie Witz and The Most High returns with ‘Same Moon Tonight’, a cinematic folk-pop duet co-produced and performed with his wife and creative partner Smiddy Witz.
Blending Americana storytelling with coastal Australian soul – drawing inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, and Jack Johnson – the track captures the emotional reality of long-distance love and the relief of finally being reunited.
A Love Story Spanning Oceans – Now Rooted in Australia “Same Moon Tonight” is Eddie and Smiddy’s first release since relocating permanently to Byron Bay with their two children. After years of balancing careers across continents, choosing Australia marked the beginning of a new chapter of healing, family connection, and creative renewal. Sung together with intimate harmonies and lyrical tenderness, the song is a love letter and a promise — affirming that distance cannot diminish devotion.
No matter how far apart we are… we’re under the same moon tonight. Rich acoustic textures, soulful harmonica, bubbling reggae-influenced percussion, piano, and cinematic electric guitar build toward a soaring finale — a musical embrace across the night sky.
Singer-songwriter Eddie Witz creates music inspired by resilience, spirit, and the healing power of love. After a shingles attack led to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome and facial paralysis, Eddie returned to music with renewed purpose — turning recovery into art that uplifts.
His upcoming debut album ‘I Am’ explores themes of transformation, forgiveness, and the search for belonging. His first single “My Island” charted to #3 on college radio across the U.S. & Canada and received rotation on IRIE FM Jamaica, global streaming support, and coverage from Relix Magazine, For Folk’s Sake, and more.
Influenced by Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, and John Butler, Eddie blends roots Americana, folk-pop, and reggae rhythms into a sound that feels both coastal and cosmic — grounded yet transcendent.
