Following the storm kicked up by their debut single ‘Painkiller’, Essex-based trio Mad Morning return with new single ‘The Circle’, a track that burns brighter and hits harder, capturing the beauty and chaos of chasing meaning in a world built on noise. Out 31st of October via Saviour Music, it dives headfirst into the chaos of modern ambition, infusing their brand of post grunge grit, with high voltage indie hard rock.
‘The Circle’ is about the loops we build for ourselves, the endless pursuit of money, control, validation, and the slow loss of what actually matters, until you’re spinning in circles. The track’s lyrics, steeped in sardonic bite and hard rock bravado, strike a balance between self-awareness and rebellion: “Take the money, I’ll keep my pride / Running, running, running, the circle.” Sleek, loud, and unashamedly defiant. Fusing the attitude of Alice in Chains or Velvet Revolver with the modern punch of Royal Blood, Mad Morning channel their frustration into a sonic explosion of razor-sharp guitars, thunderous drums, and infectious hooks.
Following debut single ‘Painkiller’s critical acclaim, hailed by METAL Magazine, EARMILK, and Music News, and a run of sold-out headline shows at at The Black Heart (Camden) and The Waiting Room (Stoke Newington), Mad Morning have grown leaner and louder, carving out their space as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging rock acts. On stage, they feel like a controlled detonation, their debut headline shows sold out in a flash, with crowds shouting back every word before a single record had even been released.
Fronted by former Mercury Sons vocalist and Great Man Theory guitarist Rob Jarvis, Mad Morning have spent the past year honing their sound. A lifelong musician and relentless grafter, Jarvis cut his teeth in the US before returning to the UK with a sound that’s both grounded and cinematic. When The Mercury Sons came to an end, Mad Morning was born: heavier, louder, and more uncompromising, forged in late-night sessions fuelled by instinct and a refusal to play it safe. The line-up solidified with powerhouse drummer Kevin Hein, a veteran of the German metal scene and a sought-after session player. His seismic rhythms lock perfectly with Jarvis’s volatile frontman energy, creating an onstage chemistry that feels undeniable. Their partnership, born of chance encounters in London clubs, feels less like a coincidence and more like inevitability.
