The Shires Live Review

The Shires are on their ‘Two Of Us Acoustic Tour’ in support of their new album ’ Undone Volume 1’ and having seen them in Newark at the Palace Theatre which is a beautiful intimate venue, I was very excited to see them at Union Chapel, a stunning venue, the acoustics are amazing. Having been to Union Chapel for other gigs it was nice to go back and see The Shires shining and stripping back their catalogue of music including ‘Daddy Little Girl, Guity, All Over Again and bringing a little bit of Nashville to London with ‘Nashville Grey Skies’

Together Ben and Crissie create something so special vocally, that they complement each other, the way they harmonise is on another level.

Ben on Keyboard and Guitar, and Crissie showcasing her incredible range the audience was capuvated.

What a perfect venue for the UK’s favourite country duo to bring their music to life in an intimate setting.

Bringing back opener Alyssa Bonagura to join them during two songs was simply beautiful.

Special mention to both support artists on The Shires tour who did a brilliant job of warming up the audience give them a follow on their socials. Opening the concert was Jeff Cohen, who brought the night to a brilliant start followed by Alyssa Bonagura.
