Westlife announce new album ‘Wild Dreams’

(LONDON, U.K. Thursday 14 October 2021) – The UK’s biggest selling group of the 21st century, Westlife, have announced the release of their first new album for two years.

‘Wild Dreams’ is available for pre-order today at www.westlife.com.

The 15-track special edition deluxe album sees the band on world-class form, showcasing their stunning vocals with a collection of original fresh pop anthems and soul-stirring ballads. It includes the newly released feel-good single ‘Starlight’ and, in a bonus for fans, new live recordings of smash hit singles including ‘Flying Without Wings’, ‘World of Our Own’ and ‘Uptown Girl’.

Details of the album were announced by the band on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show this morning.

It is the first new music album from Westlife following their sensational 2019 return, which saw the pop music icons enjoying the eighth No.1 album of their careers and celebrate their fastest selling tour of all time.

“We are incredibly excited to announce news of our upcoming new album, which follows the amazing success of our 2019 reunion.

“This album means more to us than anything we have done before and has been inspired by the challenges we’ve all overcome over the last 18 months. The maze of emotions we all experienced during the pandemic drew us to songwriting and has helped us create a really special album that we have everything we love in music – it’s got fresh feel-good uptempo tracks like ‘Starlight’ as well as powerful, heartfelt ballads such as ‘Always With Me’.

“Wild Dreams captures the mood of the moment. The album also offers moments of reflection and is  about new beginnings, hope and looking to the future. The music is so relevant to now. It is uplifting stuff and cannot wait for the fans to hear it,” say the band.

Wild Dreams is Westlife’s first album with EastWest Records after Shane, Nicky, Mark and Kian, signed a major new deal with the label earlier this year.

It was curated by the band throughout lockdown as they visited studios across Ireland and used a home music rig that impressively travelled from house to house to record the songs.

News of the new album marks the beginning of a packed schedule for Westlife who will perform their first ever sold-out headline Wembley Stadium show on Saturday 6 August 2022.

Westlife have sold over 55 million records worldwide and are the only band to have their first 7 singles enter the UK chart at No.1. They also have the most singles of any artist to debut at No.1 in the UK. Overall the band have had an incredible 14 No.1 singles, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles. They have had 33 No.1 albums worldwide and as a live act have sold 5 million concert tickets worldwide and counting.

Wild Dreams, release on 26 November, is available for pre-order now at www.westlife.com
