The news comes as the boys are in the midst of their current ‘Everybody Say JLS: The Hits’ tour, which has seen huge demand for tickets result in packed arenas as they deliver crowd-pleasing sets. The Bournemouth Echo’s review of one of the first shows on the tour praised, “A night packed with smash hits, striking visuals and slick dance moves – JLS gave Bournemouth fans exactly what they wanted.”
JLS first captured the public’s imagination with their show-stealing performances on The X Factor in 2008. And when they released their own original material the following year, JLS quickly became bigger than anyone could imagine. Their first two singles, ‘Beat Again’ and ‘Everybody In Love’, both hit #1 and were followed to the top of the charts by ‘The Club Is Alive’,‘Love You More’ and ‘She Makes Me Wanna’. Another five of their singles hit the Top 10, while their albums proved to be similarly popular with their self-titled debut going straight to #1 and all of their subsequent sets reaching the Top 5.
The multiple BRIT, MOBO and Urban Music Award winners’ current resurgence started in 2021 when their ‘Beat Again’ tour became one of the biggest of the year with a phenomenal total of 350,000 people attending shows. They ended the year on a high by flying up the charts again with their fifth album ‘2.0’.
