FROM THE NEW ALBUM ‘WE FORGOT WE WERE DREAMING’ – OUT APRIL 16TH

“Saint Raymond perfectly encapsulates the feelings of 2020.” – tmrw

“Sweeping our speakers with instant hot weather vibes.” – Wonderland

“Ready to take a further step up.” – CLOUT
From the chiming alt-pop banger ‘Right Way Round’ to the reflective ‘Solid Gold’Saint Raymond’s new songs demonstrate a huge step forward from his Top 10 debut album ‘Young Blood’ without compromising the qualities that so many people first admired. These songs have gained traction with airplay at Radio 1 and adds to key playlists at Spotify and Deezer.

That evolution continues as he shares his new track ‘Alright’Listen HERE. Watch the lyric video HERE. It’s the latest song to preview his new album ‘We Forgot We Were Dreaming’, which follows on April 16th.

Arguably the most affecting song of his career to date, ‘Alright’ shows just how far Saint Raymond has come. The message is direct and remarkably suited for this moment in time: an important first step in addressing declining mental health is to admit your struggles and to seek help. It’s delivered in an engaging yet simple style. The lyrics are lean and immediately achieve their purpose, while the production lets those words take centre-stage.

Saint Raymond, real name Callum Burrows, said, “’Alright’ is the last song I wrote for the record. I wrote it in Finland on one of my favourite ever weeks away, working with some amazing people. The song is about mental health and the fact that it’s alright to be down and that’s normal to feel that way, but you’ve got to try to find a way out of the darkness.”

‘Alright’ continues to build anticipation for ‘We Forgot We Were Dreaming’. The writing process took two years and that dedication shows. The songs view common challenges of twentysomething life via a poetic lens, with Saint Raymond opening up about fading romances, changing friendships and the looming shadows of anxiety and depression. Yet while there’s a real depth to the album’s themes, the energy and fun that propelled early fan favourites such as ‘Wild Heart’ and ‘Brighter Days’is still present.

‘Alright’ is now included as an instant download for fans who pre-order ‘We Forgot We Were Dreaming’, along with the album’s other recent singles. The album is available to pre-order and pre-save here. It will be released on CD, orange LP, black LP and cassette formats, as well as for download and streaming. A variety of bundles and new merch items are also on offer.

Saint Raymond plans to celebrate the album’s release by playing a limited capacity underplay tour in April. The intimate shows, listed below, culminates with a homecoming show at Nottingham’s Rescue Room. It will be followed by a more extensive headline tour later in the year.
