Fresh from big festival sets at TRNSMT and the Isle of Wight, Nina Nesbitt today shares the new single ‘No Time (For My Life To Suck)’ as she moves confidently towards the September 2nd release of her new album ‘Älskar’. The record will see her build upon the huge accomplishments she achieved with her previous album ‘The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change’: 500 million + streams, a place on Spotify’s global Top 500 artists, and praise from Taylor Swift. Listen HERE. Watch the lyric video HERE. ‘No Time (For My Life To Suck)’ is the antithesis to drama both IRL and on social media, a rejection of the time-wasters, vibe vultures and karma killers that have a midas touch for making life worse. Not that Nina is getting worn down by them. Instead she waves them farewell with the kind of flighty, feelgood playful pop that renders their powers of pessimism obsolete. Nina says, “I wrote ‘No Time (For My Life To Suck)’ to be the soundtrack for the summer of our lives! It’s here to cleanse people of any negative vibes, there is truly no time for them.” ‘No Time (For My Life To Suck)’ is one of several ‘Älskar’ album tracks that Nina recorded during sessions in Sweden. She wrote the song with its producer, Elvira Anderfjärd (best known for her Taylor Swift remixes), and Rickard Göransson(Tove Lo, Astrid S, Ariana Grande). It was completed with mixing courtesy of award-winning Manon Grandjean (Stormzy, Dave). When there’s no time for your life to suck, you also don’t have time to tell people that. The solution comes with Nina’s new ‘No Time For My Life To Suck’ tote bag, which is one of a selection of new items that are available as part of the special ‘Älskar’ album bundle. The bag, as well as items including coloured vinyl, a deluxe CD and signed album lyrics are available from Nina’s official store. The album can also be pre-ordered or pre-saved HERE. ‘Älskar’ is about love in all of its raw and often complicated forms, covering relationships, family, friends and self-worth. As we’ve heard from its recent tracks (‘Pressure Makes Diamonds’, ‘Dinner Table’ and ‘When You Lose Someone’), it draws on aspects from both parts of Nina’s family heritage: the sleek, layered alt-pop of the Swedish scene, and the storytelling qualities of Scottish folk music. Nina has just extended her autumn UK headline tour with the addition of dates in Glasgow and Edinburgh. An exclusive ticket presale for those two shows will run for 24h from 9am Thursday, July 14th for fans who pre-order the album from Nina’s official store – access will also be granted to fans who have already done so.
