[ September 17th, 2021] Rising pop newcomer Vinesto delivers the ultimate depiction of teen angst with his brand-new single ‘Wish That We’, which is released globally today.
When the Grammy-nominated producer who has worked with Ariana Grande hears your sound and wants to work with you to create your next big project, you know that you’re an artist on the rise. That’s the case for 17-year-old artist Vinesto, whose latest single is set to light up the international stage.
‘Wish That We’ offers utter pop perfection with Vinesto’s smooth vocal and an infectious chorus that talks of the struggles of teenage love. Simplistic, relatable lyrics layered over a fuzzy electro-pop beat and a crescendo of a chorus create the ultimate pop-bop and serve as the perfect introduction to a star in the making.
On the single, Vinesto explains; “’Wish that We’ is a youthful song which I think every teenager can relate to. It’s a song about the feeling of one-sided love. It reminds me of the special moments I have spent with the one I thought I loved and how sad it was to just watch them fade. I guess we all wish we could be in love with “the one” but it doesn’t just happen like that.”
The accompanying music video showcases the story of a perfect date with intervals of a dimly lit performance from Vinesto himself. The video is a teenage dream, which is very fitting with the theme of the track, showing a young couple having the time of their lives surrounded by a landscape of neon lights.
Originating from the Ukraine, Vinesto left home at 11 years old to study abroad at a boarding school near London. Struggling to adjust to his new environment, he found solace in writing lyrics and creating music. Soon after he decided to pursue his passion, Vinesto was born, and in the years since he’s been working hard to perfect his craft and hone his signature sound. Along the way, he caught the attention of Tommy Brown (TB Hits), the Grammy-nominated producer who has worked with Ariana Grande, Victoria Monét and more. He has also worked with Nicholas Cooper, the creative director and vocal coach who has worked with artists such as Beyoncé, Niki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez amongst other A-list names.
‘Wish That We’ kicks off Vinesto’s album campaign which will culminate in the release of debut record, ‘Different’, which is to be released as Vinesto turns 18. This is a fitting date for a project which explores teenage angst and the journey we all take, from desperately trying to fit in with our peers to realising that it’s our differences which are worth celebrating.
