FROM THE NEW ALBUM ‘WITH LOVE’, OUT AUGUST 27TH
After putting her heart and soul into her forthcoming solo album ‘With Love’Jo O’Meara discovered that love was returned to her in abundance with a huge fan reaction to its launch. The album rapidly climbed to #1 on the iTunes pre-order chart, and demonstrated that there’s still a huge interest in Jo’s powerhouse vocal talent.

Vitally, the album’s lead single ‘On The Surface’ is fully deserving of the attention. It’s a song just as poignant and irresistible as S Club’s big ballads, but Jo’s voice has only improved over the years. That’s true of her songwriting too, with a new-found sense of drama and a show-stopping emotional punch. ‘On The Surface’ is now set to connect with more fans as Jo today shares its official video. Watch HERE.

Elegantly styled, Jo is naturally the star of the show as she delivers the song with a performance of passion and panache. The video also focuses on Jo floating on the surface of the water – a beautiful symbolic representation of trying not to be overwhelmed by a pain that might not be apparent to other people. The video was directed by Steve Price, whose credits include BeyoncéThe 1975 and Queen.

Jo says, The video for on the surface came from an idea I had of floating in water! Even though I can’t swim very well ha ha… I thought the idea of water along with the lyric of the song just worked perfectly together and seeing my vision come together was just incredible!”

‘On The Surface’ is one of six songs that Jo co-wrote on the ‘With Love’ album. Spanning a variety of moods and genres, Jo commenced the project early in 2020 with the Grammy-winning producer Brian Rawling, with further creative contributions from other key Metrophonic producers including Paul Meehan and Kjetil Mørland.

‘With Love’ is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE and will be released on digital and CD formats.

Jo’s stratospheric success with S Club included four UK #1 hits, won two BRIT Awards and countless sold-out arena shows. Yet her music career has included numerous curious diversions, such as joining the girl group Solid HarmoniE, working with Max Martin before he became one of the world’s most successful songwriters, and even planning a collaborative project with Richard Carpenter.

Her solo career began with the 2005 solo album ‘Relentless’ and the chart hit ‘What Hurts The Most’, but Jo is truly flourishing as the artist she always dreamed of being throughout ‘With Love’.
