BETH MCCARTHY SELLS OUT FIRST UK HEADLINE SHOW OF 2026 IN AN HOUR
FOLLOWING SPECTACULAR MAINSTAGE READING AND LEEDS PERFORMANCES THIS SUMMER

30TH OCTOBER 2026 – York-born singer-songwriter Beth McCarthy has sold out her exclusive underplay show at The Black Heart in London on 19 November 2026, less than an hour after the show went on sale. The intimate performance arrives just ahead of her highly anticipated new EP, ‘The Origin Story of a Pretty Villain’, which is set for release on 20 November 2026, pre-save here . Fans can expect a first listen to the new material from the Pretty Villainherself in one of London’s most iconic grassroots venues.
Beth’s latest track, ‘The Love After The Love Of Your Life’ is already flying on socials with clips being viewed over 3 million times and counting! Streaming figures are equally impressive, currently averaging over 20,000 daily plays. Capitalising on recent backing from Jodie Bryant on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop, Beth continues to solidify her status as one of the UK’s most exciting independent acts.
Across four tracks, ’THE ORIGIN STORY OF A PRETTY VILLAIN’ EP chronicles the transformation and rise of the Pretty Villain, the why of how they came to be. In this case, how a relationship can create a monster. The EP begins with an introduction to Beth’s villain alter ego, ‘Pretty Villain’, before the listener is taken back in time to before she was evil and tells the story of what made her that way.
Beth expresses her excitement for the upcoming show:
“SOLD OUT in less than an hour are you KIDDING ME? This show will be the first time the fans get to see Pretty Villain up close and in person. They got a glimpse of her on the main stage at Reading and Leeds but this one is special because it’s so intimate and I get to really dive into the story of the Pretty Villain and immerse everyone into her world! On the stage is where my heart and music comes to life and this show will be like nothing else I’ve ever done.”
The unveiling of Beth’s new alter ego – The Pretty Villain – arrived off the back of a huge summer for Beth, including a main stage performance at Reading & Leeds Festival and follows a sold out show at Kentish Town Forum and a Glastonbury performance in 2025.
