Shakira makes Amazon Music history as the female artist with the most-watched livestream performance on the platform.
Shakira’s highly anticipated performance, livestreamed from Madrid on Saturday, October 3, became the most-watched livestream by a female artist on Amazon Music to date, breaking all previous records and marking a historic moment for both the platform and Latin music.
The October 3 concert, streamed across Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch, took place as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, during herES LATINA European residency in Madrid. The performance featured Dua Lipa as a special guest, with the two global superstars joining forces for a special rendition of Shakira’s iconic hit “Antología.”
Additionally, the Colombian superstar announced today a new concert in Madrid for October 12, Día de la Hispanidad, which will close out the European residency of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The additional date, announced in response to high ticket demand, will bring Shakira’s total number of performances in the Spanish capital to 13 since September 18.
