Puerto Rican multi-platinum superstar Myke Towers has hit Spotify’s Global Top 50 with latest single “DEGENERE” ft Benny Blanco. Listen/watch the video here.
Taken from the deluxe edition of his latest album ‘LA PANTERA NEGRA’ released in October, “DEGENERE”samples the melody from Suzanne Vega’s 80s hit “Tom’s Diner,” whose hook was later popularized by British duo DNA in their 1990 remix.
Produced by Benny Blanco, the song celebrates female empowerment, from the freedom to love and enjoy life to the confidence exuded through her outfits and captivating presence on the dance floor. Since its release, the track has been streamed over 37 million times on Spotify, with the video accumulating over 14 million views on YouTube and continues to climb charts all over the world.
Next week, Myke Towers is set to perform at the 25th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards in Miami, where he is also nominated twice in the Best Urban Song category for ‘El Cielo’ and huge hit ‘La Falda’.
