Set in the funfair grounds, the 5 hr extravaganza went with only a tiny hitch towards the end of the day when B*witched closed the show with an impromptu acapella version of C’est La Vie, which the crowd could be heard singing all the way to the seafront & beyond. Highlights included Duncan James showing off his amazing vocals (and legs!) with incredible cabaret dancers from his Proud London stage show J’adore La Vie, The Margate Social Singing Choir, who came with their enthusiasm and colourful, glittering outfits were outstanding and also performed with rising star Tom Rasmussen, who also performed a rapturous set of his own, and 2000+ crowd singing along to Steps classic’s such as Tragedy & One of Sorrow with the stunning vocals of Claire Richards as the sun set on the beautiful coastline.
All in all, a fab day was had by all; congratulations to the staff and organisers who put on an amazing day. As well as a celebratory parade & entertainment on the bandstand during the day, but in the evening, the place to be was Dreamland, and it truly was a magical event.
