LARKIN POE ANNOUNCE THE SHEEPDOGS AS MAIN SUPPORT FOR THEIR AUTUMN 2023 UK / EUROPEAN TOUR – INCLUDING A LONDON SHOW AT THE ROUNDHOUSE

NEW ALBUM ‘BLOOD HARMONY’ IS OUT NOW – LISTEN HERE

Having just supported Guns N Roses in London at BST Hyde Park to a rapturous reception, Larkin Poe now announce the main support for their huge UK & Europe Tour this autumn will be Canadian rock band The Sheepdogs. The tour represents the first opportunity for UK and European fans to see Larkin Poe headline shows in support of the critically acclaimed ‘Blood Harmony’ album which was released at the end of last year. The record affirms the duo as an essential force in shaping the identity of Southern rock ‘n’ roll, breathing new energy into the genre with both forward-thinking perspective and a decidedly feminine strength.

Larkin Poe comment, “We’re so excited to have the Sheepdogs join us as support on our upcoming Fall UK & European tour! We’ve seen them rock before and can’t wait to have them kick off each night”.

The Sheepdogs frontman Ewan Currie says: “We’re thrilled to be hitting the road with Larkin Poe this fall and bringing the spirit of Rock N Roll to the good people of Europe.”

The tour sees Larkin Poe – the Georgia-bred, Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell – scaling up the size of many venues from their previous visit last year. In May 2022 they sold-out a London show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, a gig which featured a special surprise guest appearance from Keith Urban. This new tour will see them headline London’s significantly larger Roundhouse on October 21st.

Rebecca and Megan Lovell said, “UK & European music lovers, the time has come — LET’S MAKE A DATE TO ROCK ⚡⚡ We are so excited to be coming back to tour in support of our ‘Blood Harmony’ album; go get your tickets now & we’ll see you in the autumn!”

Larkin Poe co-produced ‘Blood Harmony’ alongside Tyler Bryant (Rebecca’s husband). With Megan handling harmony vocals, lap steel, and resonator guitar and Rebecca on guitar and keys, they also enlisted members of their long-term live band. Primarily recorded at Rebecca and Tyler’s home studio, the result is an electrifying new work that fully harnesses the fiery vitality they’ve shown in touring across the globe, imbuing their songs with equal parts soulful sensitivity and thrilling ferocity. From the feverish guitar work of ‘Bad Spell’ to the soul-stirring ‘Southern Comfort’ and the smouldering title track, ‘Blood Harmony’ reveals a band in complete touch with their formidable intuition, their storytelling fortified with a blues-heavy sound that hits right in the heart.

Larkin Poe’s official store offers special ‘Blood Harmony’ formats including a limited magenta vinyl and cassettes with your choice of Rebecca or Megan on the cover, as well as album bundles and new merch designs.

The Sheepdogs are an old-time rock n roll revival every bit as dynamic on stage as they are on record. Hailing from the small prairie city of Saskatoon, The Sheepdogs are one of Canada’s most successful bands amassing a legion of fans worldwide with their rich harmonies, rounded guitar tones and classic rock influenced sound. The band have scored twelve Top 20’s, with nine of those Top 5’s and three singles taking the #1 spot on Canadian Rock radio. Most recently their singles spent 90 weeks with at least 1 song in the top 20 at Canadian Rock radio. Hit singles “I Don’t Know” and “Feeling Good” both reached Platinum certification, with “The Way It Is” achieving Gold sales. Additionally, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status, and to date the band has been nominated for 11 JUNO awards, including their most recent release “Outta Sight” and winning four of the coveted trophies.
