“KiD RAiN is the new artist on the block who is making a lot of noise in all the right places.” – FAULT “Already making a name for himself.” – Wonderland “KiD RAiN has proved he’s here to stay.” – Notion “The rising star you need to know.” – tmrw “The king of TikTok.” – BBC “Pop tracks to make the girls go weak.” – Metro With a growing catalogue of instantly addictive songs together with a rare mix of captivating star quality and boy-next-door relatability, KiD RAiN has everything in place to be the UK’s next pop star. And with hundreds of millions of video views, a sold-out debut UK headline tour, consistent support from BBC Introducing and a social media share from Khloe Kardashian, his profile is beginning to live up to that billing. The next step in his rise comes as he shares the new single ‘Something To Hate’, which will feature on his brand new EP which follows later this year. ListenHERE. ‘Something To Hate’ captures everything which makes KiD RAiN a major contender, his bright and charismatic vocal supported by punchy pop beats and a hook so alluring you’ll remember it after just one listen. Just as importantly, his lyrics hit right at the heart of coming-of-age experiences that everyone goes through: in this case being angry after a break-up – even if you know deep down that however sad you are, sometimes you just can’t hate your ex. KiD RAiN says, “I have written at least four songs over the last few years called ‘Something To Hate’. I knew it was something I really wanted to say, I was just waiting for the right song to come along, and around eight months ago it did. It’s so easy to move on from someone if you hate them, but when it’s someone who hasn’t done anything wrong, that’s much harder to shift. I just wish they’d just do something terrible, so I’d at least have something to hate about them.” ‘Something To Hate’ was written, produced and performed solely by KiD RAiN. Watch the video HERE. KiD RAiN started playing a variety of instruments as a child, before starting to write songs at the age of 12 and then putting together a home studio in his teens. Inspired by The 1975, Coldplay and OneRepublic, his artist identity emerged fully formed when he debuted as KiD RAiN just three years ago. TikTok has been a big part of his rise, with fans falling for his engaging humour, improvised light-hearted songs, and his infectious love of performing. With songs such as ‘I Hope You Never Fall In Love Again’, ‘Say Yes’ and his take on the ‘Shrek 2’ theme song ‘Accidentally In Love’ clocking up millions of streams, KiD RAiN soon discovered that his social following translated to real fanbase at shows too.
