ZAK

‘My Girl’ will be released on 17th February 2023

together with an anti-bullying schools tour in January and February

14-year-old pop sensation ZAK’s new single ‘My Girl’ is the perfect tonic to blast into 2023. The song is bouncy and upbeat and has an incredibly catchy hook that will chase the winter blues away and leave you wanting more of the same. ‘My Girl’ will be out in the world on the 17th of February.

The pulsating rhythm takes us through the pain and loss of breakup before morphing into a classic “miss you” / “want you back” song. Along the way, ZAK gives us a glimpse into the minutiae of emotions and events that remind us of lost love and that can ultimately lead us back to it again. With the release coinciding with Valentine’s Day, ‘My Girl’ is sure to become an instant classic.

Written by ZAK, Mike Krompass (who also produced), and Dan Taylor, ‘My Girl’ was recorded at BASE Culture UK after Mike heard ZAK’s music, liked what he heard, and the rest, as they say, was history.

ZAK recently tasted success with a Christmas 2022 single, ‘Christmas Time with You’, which showcased his unique brand of pop with a huge amount of festive joy and happiness. The single has so far garnered over 100,000 streams, paving the way for ZAK to take the world by storm with ‘My Girl’ and ZAK’s debut album, due later in 2023. Fans of contemporary artists such as Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Shawn Mendes will immediately fall in love with ZAK’s hook-heavy collection of hits.

Hailing from County Durham, ZAK is an avid performer inspired by artists new and old; he lives and breathes music. Having performed since the age of two and making his stage debut a year later, ZAK still thrives on stage and will soon be your new favourite artist.

As well as being a gifted musician, ZAK is passionate about spreading the word about anti-bullying. At the end of January, he will take his addictive and uplifting sound on a performance tour around schools in the Northeast, which will also carry a theme around anti-bullying. ZAK has had personal experience of being bullied and feels that he is now able to offer guidance to others around bullying, online cyber safety, and overall mental health. For ZAK, the best way out of the situation was to move out of it altogether, and he is now homeschooled. This in turn has led to the furtherance of his music career and the upcoming release of more music.

‘My Girl’ will be released on Sony Music on February the 17th, 2023.

The Northeast schools tour:
January 30th: Whitworth Park Academy – Spennymoor – Co. Durham

February 3rd: Trinity Catholic College – Middlesbrough

February 8th: Highfield Middle School – Prudhoe – Northumberland

February 9th: Our Lady & St Bede Catholic Academy – Stockton On Tees

February 10th: Laurence Jackson School – Guisborough
My Girl is out on the 17th of February 2023.
