CONFIRMED FOR HUGE 2023 UK AND IRELAND TOUR AS MAIN SUPPORT TO SAM RYDER

Recently confirmed for a major “dream come true” tour as main support to Sam Ryder, indie-pop trio Tors today provide a fresh taste of what to expect from their shows with the release of their new single ‘Colour in the Ordinary’. Listen HERE.

‘Colour in the Ordinary’ laments the grind of the working week and the Sunday night fear that looms before it all begins again. But rather than simply succumbing to the struggle, Tors present a song of hope to encourage you to find those bright little moments that offer an escape from the tedium, as well as a reminder that other people are going through the same thing. Between the warmth of the studio’s sumptuous three-part vocal harmonies and the song’s chiming piano, ‘Colour in the Ordinary’ provides a heartening beacon of light within the winter gloom.  The song was written and produced by the band: brothers Matt and Theo Weedon and school friend Jack Bowden.

Tors commented, “‘Colour in the Ordinary’ is a hopeful call to action for anyone struggling with their mental health to try and find the small moments of colour and magic in the everyday. It’s so easy to lose yourself in the monotony of Monday to Friday, nine till five, living for the weekend and we’ve all succumbed to it. This song is our own little message of encouragement that there is beauty in even the greyest of weeks, you just have to look for it.”
‘Colour in the Ordinary’ continues Tors’ talent for crafting songs which reflect the circumstances of twenty-something life. Their previous track, the Lily Williams collab ‘I Don’t Miss You (Except For When I Do)’, explored the realisation that a love affair means more than you even admit to yourself. It’s a trait which also informs their other releases in 2022, with ‘Lonely’ examining the changes that occur in friendships, and ‘Garden On The Kitchen Floor’ depicting the early days in a relationship where simply being together makes the financial struggles worthwhile.

For Tors, music is in the blood. The Weedon brothers’ grandfather is Bert Weedon OBE, the influential guitarist whose ‘Play In A Day’ books helped to teach all-time greats such as John Lennon and Brian May. They released their first and so far only EP ‘Wilder Days’ in 2018, while co-writes with Declan J Donovan and Dean Lewis have led to 500 million+ streams, airplay at Radio 1 and Radio 2, and headline shows including the ScalaOmearaSt. Pancras Old Church and Abbie McCarthy’s Good Karma Club. They have also played shows with Tom WalkerJohn NewmanPicture This and X Ambassadors.

Having recently also completed a European tour with Duncan Laurence, limited tickets remain for Tors’ tour with Sam Ryder, with Liverpool and Bristol already sold-out. The tour runs as follows and the line-up is completed by Charlotte Jane:
