ou’ve done Isle of white festival for a few years now, what have been some of your favourite moments from the festival?
There’s something special about the UK audiences – everyone is so fun, sweet and there to have a good time. We just love it every time we come to play at Isle of Wight. And the island itself is stunning.
Who did you enjoy watching?
There were so many amazing artists at the Isle of Wight Festival this year. We especially loved The Kooks, Rudimental, MUSE, Shaggy, & Tom Grennan.
What other festivals and live gigs do you have this summer?
We just got back from Spain from doing some radio in Mallorca, which was amazing. We also had an awesome gig at the Half Moon in London the other night, and look forward to heading to Manchester for an acoustic gig next Sunday 3rd July.
You’re supporting James Walsh at the Half Moon, what can we expect from your set?
We had an amazing time opening for James Walsh at the Half Moon, playing some of our favourite originals and latest releases. It was an honour to play at such an iconic venue in London.
Any headline gigs planned?
We’ve got a headline tour planned in Australia when we head home, but look forward to returning to the UK in 2023 for our very own UK headline tour – stay tuned!
Where have been some of your favourite places to perform at so far?
We’ve been grateful to tour to some amazing places around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, China, Europe & the UK. We especially loved opening for Little Mix on their UK Stadium Tour, it was such a blast.
What’s the story behind your single ‘Bruises’?
‘Bruises’ is a cover of Lewis Capaldi’s hit, so you’d have to ask him haha! We collaborated on this cover with our good friend Isaac Humphries who is an Australian basketballer, as part of our Sister Sessions series – a project we created during lockdown to connect with other musicians around the world.
Where did you shoot the music video and what was the idea behind the video?
We shot the music video for ‘Bruises’ in our home recording studio. It was rare that the artist we collaborated with on our Sister Sessions series happened to be in the same city, as most of the artists we worked with were overseas – so we wanted to make the most of having Isaac with us in the same city and play the song through together in the studio.
Are you working on an album? Do you have your next single in the works?
When we return to Australia we look forward to finishing off a bunch of our new songs, so fingers crossed for an album real soon!
What are your favourite things to do when visiting the UK?
Playing shows, catching up with our friends, going for walks along the canal, watching Harry Potter, and eating hobnobs.
When you’re in the UK what do you miss about Australia and vice Versa?
It depends what time of the year we’re in the UK or Australia, as we’re so used to chasing the summer. Definitely don’t miss the cold, although we don’t get snow in Australia so seeing a bit of snow when we were last in the UK in December was pretty special. Of course we miss our family and friends when we’re away from home, but we’re grateful we’re all sisters and so the ‘homesickness’ isn’t as bad cause we’re all together.
What music are you currently streaming?
We’ve been listening to a lot of the Kooks ever since their amazing set at Isle of Wight!
