Dermot Kennedy Live Review

Night 1 of Dermot Kennedy’s Sold out shows at Alexandra palace.

First we have the two support artists, who have the crowd warmed up for Dermot Kennedy, If you would like to see more of them they have their own headline shows coming up, you can find them on social media. Look for Zola Courtney and Lola Young. Both are very talented musicians.

Then as the night goes on the lights go dark, the crowd are excited and cheering as Dermot comes on to the stage breaking into his first song and moving into the incredible ‘Power Over Me’ which had the audience singing it back to Dermot, such a magical moment having the crowds sing your own song back to you.

His whole set from start to finish was flawless, the start of his set had a start stop start again moment but with the crowd in high spirits singing “Power Over Me’ back to Dermot it didn’t matter, He is vocally perfect, his harmonies, his interaction, his whole stage presence was just amazing.

From hearing ‘Giants’ ‘Better Day’s and ‘Rome’ which are personal favourites in a live setting was incredible, hearing Dermot talk between songs, he is so humble and grateful to be upon that stage. The Encore was the perfect ending to a perfect night of live music, ‘Out Numbered’ topped off the whole evening. To everyone still to see Dermot Kennedy live you will not be disappointed you are in for fun night.

I for one was so happy to be there and I can’t wait to do it all over again.
