Passenger came on stage around 8:30, from the stage lighting to each song in his setlist, it was a spectacular night, vocally perfect, the crowd was in fine form, the happiness of live music being back what a moment in it’s self, to be stood in that venue watching Passenger on stage, entertaining the crowd through out his entire set was amazing. Saturday night at Rock City was the place to be. “Passenger” owns that stage, the passion in his voice as he sings, his entire energy and interaction he was born to be on stage, one of the best concerts I have ever been to.
Passenger on stage with his guitar ( A few guitars!) performing a section of his music from his albums including ‘Songs For The Drunk and Broken Hearted’ ‘Patchwork’ and ‘All The light Lights, hearing those songs in a live settings was something else.
From ‘The Hate’ to ‘Queenstown’ ‘Heaven’ ‘Sword From The Stone’ and a personal favourite of mine ‘Let Her Go’. Bringing his support Gabrielle Aplin back on stage to sing ‘Sword From The Stone’ was beautiful, there voices connect so elegantly together.
The crowd was loud in high spirits, Passenger is so humble and incredibly talented seeing him live was amazing, there is nothing like being at a concert in that environment, its been a long time coming. Live music is back, once that music starts nothing else matters.
To the next Passenger concert I cant wait.
