PARSON JAMES,EMELI SANDE AND TROY MILLER
RELEASE BRAND NEW SINGLE
‘LOVE RIGHT HERE’
First play on BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sundayshow
Singer-songwriter Parson James, the genre-blending vocalist behind Kygo’s multi-platinum global smash “Stole The Show”, has released new single Love Right Here with British singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé and Grammy award winning musician Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Calvin Harris, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man).
A soulful, moving pop track, Love Right Here blends Parson James and Emeli Sandé’s soaring vocals with heartfelt emotion. Carrying a warm, gospel-tinged energy, the song is a declaration of self-love and reflects on the feeling of being caught in a cycle while choosing to hold onto it through life’s obstacles.
Speaking on writing the track, Parson said “Love Right Here is a dream come true of a song for me. After a huge life transition and many years of almosts, it came at a time when I was finally starting to feel the light at the end of the tunnel.
Working with Troy Miller and JP Cooper was incredibly special, but having Emeli join the song made it immeasurably so. I’ve worshipped at the altar of Sandé for many moons, so sharing the studio and singing together felt priceless and incredibly full circle.
The song resonates so deeply with me because it’s easy to seek validation and love from people, places and things that don’t have your best interests at heart. Then you step out of the tunnel vision and realise you’ve had love within you all along – in your community, your passions, your loved ones, and mostly, inside of you. To be whole in oneself is the greatest gift we’re all trying to achieve. It’s easy to forget, but so important to remember.”
Emeli also shared “I’m very excited to be working with Parson James on this beautiful song, he’s an incredibly talented artist with a genuine heart and passion. I hope the powerful message of this song will remind people of how much they are truly loved.”
Parson has spent nearly a decade honing not just his sound but his story. From releasing his debut EP and single almost 10 years ago, he admits he’s rewritten versions of his album many times over, always chasing a moment when his life-experiences, vulnerability and songcraft align. Only within the past few years has he felt that his growth, self-awareness and honesty would finally allow that alignment.
