Nashville-based British country crossover artist Twinnie is bringing the curtain down on her self-proclaimed “sad girl era” with her newest EP ‘Blue Hour (Before The Dawn)’ on June 28, but before that, she delivers the anthemic ‘Girl In Your Songs’ about her short-lived romance with a rockstar out now. Listen HERE.
Not one to kiss and tell, Twinnie never names the man who inspired this sure-fire hit but she has teased that the song he wrote about their relationship hit number 1, so can her response do the same? There’s never been a British female to have a American country #1 could she be the first?! Recently going viral on TikTok It definitely has the potential, so it’ll be an interesting release campaign.
‘Girl In Your Songs’ has been cleverly written by the English singer/songwriter who showcases the strength in her lyrical ability with words that roll easily off the tongue intertwined with an earworm of a chorus that will have fans in full voice, especially during festival season.
Speaking about the single, Twinnie says: “I love this song, and I’m so happy to have it on the EP. We’re coming out of the sad girl era and I think this one gives a glimpse of what’s to come. This was a romance that didn’t last for me, but I’m sure he can’t help but think of me when he hears it, haha”.
