22-year-old South-African singer-songwriter, Will Linley, is back with a brand-new track, “Blame,” out today via Island Records. The track comes on the heels of his 2024 US headlining “Magic Tour” announce which will kick off on July 25th in Nashville, TN. Listen HERE.
On the track, Will says, “Blame is something new and something different. It feels like a step in a new direction whilst still holding true to my sound and what I want to create. It’s a song about the intricacies of having to step away from someone that you love and the pain that comes with that process. It’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written and I am so excited for everyone to hear it.”
Will made a splash in 2023 after playing two sold out shows in the US at Mercury Lounge in New York and Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. These shows followed a successful UK tour which included P!nk’s Summer Carnival and Will’s debut London headline concert at Courtyard Theatre. Linley also opened for Maroon 5 in January/February in South Africa at Calabash and most recently supported Em Beihold on her North American tour. The new music is the first since last year Magic EP – a collection of “sad-pop” songs, mastering the art of mixing raw, emotional lyrics over cheery, dance-y beats. The EP features previously released singles “Maybe,” “Gracie,” “Tough (The Girls Song),” and most notably “Last Call.”
