February 23rd London UK – Rising South London songsmith Lewis Fitzgerald teams up with rapper/artist Zakhar on the new single ‘Go Wrong’ out today via Relentless Records.
Adding to his ever more recognisable, innovative style of melancholic alt-pop, his latest offering stands out as a track of growing emotional complexity. Joining South and North London together in the collab track, Lewis links up with in demand Islington artist/rapper Zakhar who also features in the new music video released today.
Speaking about the single, Lewis comments, ”Where did I go wrong?’ – a question we all ask ourselves. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and have asked myself many times ‘where did I go wrong’. The truth is we all know it’s how you learn from those mistakes that makes you who you are. The song is a turning point for me in my musical journey and my sound. This song has a universal meaning.’
Lewis’ distinctive vocal continues to turn heads with ‘Go Wrong’ set to build upon his previous work such as breakout track ‘Darling’, which racked up over 4.6 million global streams and more than 33 million views on TikTok; single ‘Unlovable’ which received praise from tastemakers across the board.
Growing a dedicated online fanbase through a series of live streams and fan engagement, Lewis has earnt co-signs from the likes of Kiss FM, Mollie King’s Future Pop and Victoria Jane’s Future Soul on Radio 1, Notion, GRM Daily, BBC London, MTV, SBTV, and recently filmed with Mahogany in a session they praised as ‘truly beautiful’ and ‘privileged’ to share.
Further marked by industry for success this year, Lewis featured as part of the Notion x Instagram Creators To Watch 2024 event, was the cover artist of Amazon’s ‘Fresh Pop’ playlist in January, and was selected for Shazam’s ‘Predictions for 2024’ playlist.
Set to release a series of singles over the coming months his strikingly honest lyricism and powerful vocal will forge his place amongst the UK collective of talent for 2024, highlighted when his recent performance with Dexta Daps at his album launch went vial on TikTok.
