Quickly becoming a staple of the festival season, Ingrid Michaelson is set to bring the ‘Ingrid Michaelson Trio Christmas Show’ to London’s beautifully atmospheric Union Chapel on December 1st. Fronting the Ingrid Michaelson Trio, expect her to get the celebrations started with a joyous set that combines all-time Christmas classics, fan favourites from Ingrid’s rich back catalogue, and some of her own original festive and winter-themed songs – all with the trio’s sweet vocal harmonies topping a mix of guitar, keys and ukulele. The London show is just one of two special Christmas performances from Ingrid this year, the other being her 17th Annual Holiday Hop at Webster Hall in New York on December 15th. Ingrid says, “I am playing only two shows this holiday season. One in my hometown of New York City, and the other in London at Union Chapel. That speaks volumes to how much I adore playing Union Chapel. It truly is one of my favourite venues that I have ever played in. I also just love London around Christmas time!” Tickets for the London show are now available HERE. A strictly limited number of VIP tickets are also available, which add a host of exclusive benefits including access to the trio’s soundcheck, a Q&A and a group photo with Ingrid, an exclusive merch package, plus early access to both the venue and the merch stand. Ingrid has always been an artist who has enjoyed capturing the magic of the festival season, most notably with the ‘Songs For The Season’ album and its subsequent deluxe edition, last year’s standalone single ‘It’s Almost Christmas’, and‘Christmas Lights’, from her ‘Stranger Things’-themed set ‘Stranger Songs’. Since breaking through in 2006 with her second album ‘Girls and Boys’, Ingrid has forged a successful career entirely on her own terms with all of her albums released via her own Cabin 24 Records. ‘Human Again’ and ‘Lights Out’ both hit the Top 5of the Billboard album chart, while songs including ‘You And I’, ‘Girls Chase Boys’ and ‘The Way I Am’ have seen her accumulate over a billion career streams to date. She has consistently explored fresh creative outlets, which have included starring on stage in the ‘Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812’, composing the music for a production of ‘The Notebook’ (which is now set to hit Broadway February 10th 2024) and writing original music for the TV series ‘Little Fires Everywhere’. This year has seen her continue to work as a composer for the AppleTV+/Jim Henson Company pre-school series ‘Slumberkins’, and has also worked with the ‘Slumberkins’ brand by executive producing their album of children’s music titled ‘Together We Shine, Vol.1’ featuring her new song ‘Feelings’. She also recorded original new songs for the soundtrack of the TV adaptation of ‘Tiny Beautiful Things’, and composed its score with Gabriel Mann and Ariza. |
