KEVIN DAVY WHITE ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM ‘KEEP DREAMING WILD’ TO BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 25TH FEATURING THE NEW SINGLE ‘TOMORROW’

After years honing his craft and exploring his electrifying multi-genre creativity, Kevin Davy White will fulfil a life-long ambition when he releases his debut album ‘Keep Dreaming Wild’ on August 25th. Having recently released the tracks ‘Honey’ and‘Thousand Stars’, he today shares the album’s latest single ‘Tomorrow’.  Listen HERE. Watch the official video HERE.

In ‘Tomorrow’Kevin Davy White hits upon a groove and doesn’t let go as he serves up a sweltering cocktail of suave, soulful vocals with funk-rock panache and heavyweight dub rhythms. The secret ingredient is his magnetic force of personality: you can hear just how much he relishes performing with every line he delivers, while the passion that powers from his voice comes from the importance of the song’s subject matter.

Kevin says, “This song is about our home. The one we have in common. The one with no physical borders. Earth. I wrote this song out of concern for the future. Even with all of the technology available today, we are still far too slowly evolving to safeguard the environment. Our children will question us one day, what have you done to ensure that my future is livable? But individually we have no genuine ability to effect change. Music has the ability to travel further than my words. As a result, this song is dedicated to all of us.”

Elsewhere, ‘Keep Dreaming Wild’ is a collection that showcases everything Kevin Davy White can do. Drawing up his committed love of rock, blues and soul, it’s the sound of an artist aiming high, digging deep and catching fire. His musicianship is exemplary, mixing a flair for fierce moments that recalls Hendrix, the elegant touch of a classical musician, and a bluesman’s ability to convey a spectrum of human emotions with his guitar. Whether he’s playing full-force rockers such as ‘Sucking The Air’, blending in jazzy piano and a touch of ‘70s-style Afrobeat on ‘Roots’ or dropping the tempo with the show-stopping blues of ‘It Will Come’, the album is united by its optimistic spirit. Born and raised in FranceKevin Davy White’s love of artists such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan inspired him to relocate to the UK with his band in 2013. It didn’t get off to the best of starts: one-by-one the band returned home, leaving Kevin sleeping on the streets of London. With little other choice, he survived busking and gradually turned that modest income into a potential career, leading him to compete on the French edition of ‘The Voice’ before making a much bigger impression when he returned to the UK for ‘The X Factor’. He could’ve quickly capitalised on that moment in the spotlight, but he kept the faith and took the time to become the artist that he really wanted to be.

He adds, “Through all the years that I’ve been working towards this, my only motto was: have hope and have faith. When you start music, you know it’s going to be hard. But the fuse has to be the passion and the fun. So all the songs for this first album are talking about the future. That’s why the name of the album is ‘Keep Dreaming Wild’. Because that’s what keeps you going.”

The vast majority of the ‘Keep Dreaming Wild’ album was written, played, recorded, mixed, produced and mastered solely byKevin. Select songs feature contributions from Alan Glass, a producer and songwriter whose countless credits include work with legendary artists such as Aretha FranklinGeorge Benson and Earth, Wind & Fire.
