NEW ALBUM ‘AN OCEAN FULL OF ISLANDS’ FOLLOWS ON MARCH 3RD

CONFIRMED TO PLAY THEIR BIGGEST HEADLINE SHOW
AT GLASGOW’S QUEEN’S PARK ON JUNE 23RD

“Folk melodies with big-chorused contemporary indie-rock, led by Robert Robertson’s powerful voice and charismatic presence.” – The Scotsman

Tide Lines ended 2022 on a high with announcement of the March 3rd release of their new album ‘An Ocean Full of Islands’ as well as the news that its lead single ‘Written In The Scars’ had been playlisted at Radio 2. And 2023 begins on a high too, with confirmation of their biggest ever headline show, a 6,000-capacity big top festival-style show at Glasgow’s Queen’s Park, and now the release of their new single ‘These Days’. Listen HERE. Watch the 360 Degrees performance video HERE.

‘These Days’ is indicative of the anthemic, indie-folk style that looks set to propel the band far beyond their current cult status in the coming months. Its towering melodies are matched with the biggest of hearts, as Robert Robertson’s impassioned vocals capture the romance of recognising that you’re in the middle of a moment that you’ll look back upon in years to come.

Robert Robertson says, “These Days is a really upbeat song with a sing along chorus. It’s essentially a love story but it really speaks of any moment when you realise you’re experiencing something you’ll remember fondly in the future. The second verse was inspired by Scottish artist Jack Vettriano’s painting, In Thoughts of You, which I’ve often looked at and imagined the story behind the image”.

‘These Days’ also signposts what to expect from the rest of ‘An Ocean Full of Islands’. Having narrowly missed the Top 10 with their previous record ‘Eye of the Storm’ and established a dedicated following in the live arena, Tide Lines now look to step up another level with a collection of songs that are infused with rousing hooks, spine-tingling emotions and widespread, expansive ambition. It achieves all of that without losing sight of their roots, with the album recorded in their studio and rehearsal space in a former Baptist church on the Isle of Mull. The band’s keyboardist Ross Wilson led the record’s production process.

‘An Ocean Full of Islands’ is available to pre-order or pre-save HERE. The band’s official store offers a range of bundles, which include signed CDs and vinyl, and a new t-shirt. A turquoise vinyl edition is also available via retail.
