TELEVISION PRESENTER NAOMI WILKINSON AND BOYBAND STAR MARK READ COLLABORATE ON “RAY OF SUN” SINGLE SET FOR RELEASE ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 21ST 2022

Mark Read achieved global success with a1 – the multi-platinum-selling boyband. The band achieved a string of UK and international Top
five hits, including two UK number 1’s, with “Same Old Brand New You” and their cover of A-ha’s classic, “Take On Me”. They won several awards including a prestigious Brit Award.
Mark has written for many international artists, including “Michael Bolton”, “Boyzone”, “The Hollies” and “Charlotte Church”, to name a few.

The song “Never Enough” that Mark co-wrote and produced was performed at the Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan in 2012.
In 2021, Mark wrote a rousing, theatrical anthem titled “Stop the Show” to celebrate theatres and music venues opening back up again. The song was performed at London’s West End Live.

“Naomi’s lyrics and the sentiment behind them really moved and inspired me. It was a privilege to collaborate on this song
with her, to honour the memory of Rachel – Mark

“Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to play the song to Rachel, but our hope is that this song of support might still bring comfort to
anyone who is struggling to cope and needing to find that Ray of Sun.” – Naomi

More On Naomi Wilkinson

“Milkshake!” She is much-loved for her bubbly, energetic persona and daredevil attitude. Over the years Naomi has devoted much of her time to entertaining and educating the nation’s youngsters. She is always happy to be thrown in at the deep end, even if it means
presenting with children and animals together…live!
She has won an RTS award (Best Children’s category) and was twice nominated as Best Presenter at the prestigious Children’s BAFTA Awards.
When Naomi’s sister Anna, and dear friend Rachel were diagnosed with breast cancer, Naomi felt at a loss to know how to help. With the battles at the forefront of her mind, she was inspired to write the lyrics for Ray of Sun. She then reached out to good friend and songwriter Mark Read to collaborate and produce the song.
Naomi’s sister made a full recovery but sadly Rachel lost her fight.
