Artists & Leading Industry Figures Came Together at the GRM Gala

Tuesday 2nd August, London, UK: Last night artists, entrepreneurs and key industry figures came together at the GRM Gala in London to celebrate black excellence in the UK Entertainment and Music Industry.
GRM Daily hosted the annual Pre-Rated Awards Gala at the iconic royal residence Kensington Palace. Set within the lavish surroundings and gardens of Kensington Palace, the illustrious and highly-anticipated event was attended by a number of GRM’s extended family of influential artists including: Lethal Bizzle, Kano, Tion Wayne, Wretch 32 and Ivorian Doll to name a few. Also in attendance were cultural figures and industry friends: Munya Chawawa, Maya Jama, Harry Pinero, Ashley Walters and Daniel Kaluuya.
The GRM Gala, whose official sponsors included Meta, Hennessy, Red Bull, AU Vodka and Armand de Brignac brought the best in style and opulence to Kensington Palace, creating an ambience befitting of the celebration and attendees. The illustrious red carpet featured some stellar ensembles from Daniel Kaluya in Gucci to Tion Wayne in Prada, Wretch 32 and Akala in bespoke tailored suits from Scabal, Maya Jama in Sophie Couture with Michael Dappah wearing Bottega to create the Gala’s glitziest celebration yet and cementing its status on the fashion calendar for bringing the best in style, music and entertainment together.

The GRM Gala took place for the first time in 2020. Much like the GRM brand, the GRM Gala has upped the ante with each event and grown in size and prestige each year. The first two GRM Galas’ were held at One Marylebone and The V&A Museum respectively with guestlists including the likes of Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Ms Banks, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Mo Gilligan in anticipation of the GRM Rated Awards later in the year.
