After debuting last November with ‘miss me (when you’re gone)’ and last month’s ‘I don’t wanna be yours’, the 20-year-old South African artist Will Linley has made a flying start to his career, having already amassed 12 million streams, a homeland Top 20 hit, and international tastemaker tips in the space of just three singles. Now Will is set to introduce himself to UK audiences when he tours as guest to Matthew Mole in September. Will has regularly cited his tourmate as a huge inspiration in interviews, making this a dream opportunity for his debut UK tour. Will says, “Touring with Matthew is a dream come true because if I’m being honest I’ve been a fan of the man for years and years! I cannot wait to play these shows around Europe. I am incredibly new to the world of live shows and touring so I must say this incredible opportunity does come with many nerves. But I know that this is a journey that will be filled with so many good times. Europe you better be ready baby!” In addition to the UK and Ireland dates, listed below, Will will join Matthew Mole for all European shows stretching from Berlin (August 11th) to Brussels (September 9th). Tickets are available HERE for all UK shows and HERE for Dublin. Please see HERE for a full list of dates. SEPTEMBER 3rd – Bristol, Louisiana 4th – Manchester, Deaf Institute 5th – Dublin, Workmans 7th – London, The Garage 8th – Brighton, Patterns Hailing from Cape Town, Will Linley has been passionate about music for his entire life. Singing was always his hobby, but he never imagined it could translate into a career. But as the pandemic hit, Will spent his time writing and sharing music, providing him with a creative outlet and a way to virtually connect with people. The outcome was far bigger than anyone could have anticipated, as teasers for ‘miss me (when you’re gone)’ received over 4 million views at TikTok. That TikTok breakthrough soon translated much wider when ‘miss me (when you’re gone)’ attracted a global audience. Willfollowed his instantly memorable breakthrough song about lost love with two more immensely personal tracks: the romantic misfortune of ‘wrong time’ and avoiding future heartache in last month’s ‘i don’t wanna be yours’. |
