| Following on from the track’s release last month, Dominican-American vocalist, songwriter and poet María Isabel has released a brand new performance of her latest single ‘Love song’ for popular youth culture platform COLORS, in collaboration with Burberry. The track shows off a beautiful new facet of María’s sound, stripping her warm R&B tones down to their raw elements to put her resonant yet featherweight vocal on centre stage. Exploring growing up both mentally and physically, and how one’s perception and emphasis of love can switch in this time – going from focusing your attention on others, to realising you can’t fully flourish without loving yourself first. ‘Love song’ is a carefree ode to this kind of self love, with María musing on her own growth while gliding over an instrumental that feels indebted to soul icons before her – resulting in a blissed out track that’s perfect for summer sunrises and sunsets.
