How Long have Tastebuds been Performing together?

About 1 year... we've known each other a lot longer, about 7 1/2, were all friends, we click quite well together.

Your first gig as a band was at Party In The Park last year, has your live performance style changed much since then?

We've changed a lot, Anna has joined the band since then, another Taste bud left the band and ann joined us, were tighter as a group we gel well together. Our live sound is louder, we feel we have progressed more, we've excelled with our music.

Are you on the lineup for Party In the Park this year?

No not this year. We are supporting the one the only Alvin stardust!

What has been your best and worst stage experience so far?

The best experience would be performing at the battle of the bands final and winning, we haven't really had any bad experiences, all our shows seem to go well... a bad experience for us would be the crowds walking out, we did west street in Sheffield recently is was absolutely rammand, we got on stage, getting ready to face the audience, turned round to start our set and the venue was emptying, the main band has been on that's who every had come to see, when they had finished everyone was leaving. The people who stayed seemed to be enjoying us so that was good.

Do you find some crowds are harder to please than others?

All the crowds seem to like us, some of the venues could be say more heavy metal based but even audiences from there say to us we like you, generally the reaction is good.

How would you describe your music sound?

Vintage Boxfresh!
It's hard to describe our sound, we have a modern edge, were all in classic rock and reggae our sound kind of varies.

Do you have a cd ready for release/or for sale at your live shows?

Yes we do have cds. we are actually going back in the studio tomorrow to work on some tracks bring our music up a peg, our cd is more demo style. We want our songs sounding perfect, we want to record a full album ready to release soon.

Are your songs which are available to listen to from your myspace a good indication of what your fans can expect from your cd?

Our sound is always developing, our style is constantly changing, we change our songs, remix them make them a lot better, with our songs we like to make them a lot different from the last one, you can listen to some bands and there music sounds the same, its the same style, we want to give something different so you don't get bored of listening. We all get involved with the writing process, everyone pitches in, has their own ideas.

Who influences your music sound?

Influences.. Bill Hicks, The beatles, Bob dylan, Bob Marley,Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd & David Bowie, we like anything that's good. There are so many great artists out there who influence us, its hard to pin point all of them.

Where can you be seen live this summer?

Were performing at the Ashfield show in August, Sugababes are headlining it. We are supporting Alvin Stardust on tour, possibly a tour in Spain and Germany as a supporting band, we will be doing venues like in Sheffield, all dates are added to our myspace:www.myspace.com/tastebudsonline
